Nope! No hacks! you get the under buildings/items if you buy the Guardian of Secrets in the Dark Lord tab.. Not worth buying considering you are paying with RCs The reason that he has SOOO much atk/def/etc is that he has bought TONS of artifacts.. You buy artifacts also in the Darklord area.. And if you get a 'set' of artifacts you unlock extra def/atk/etc Secret points.. These cost RC's as well to buy and in order to get a set it could cost an extreme amount of money.. Its like 1000 dollars for all of them! (how much was the ending price for all of them on the thread? I dont remember)

Don't buy trophies!!! You WILL feel like you've just been violated by AS!!
I'm convinced it would cost over a grand for all the trophies in the games with 20 or more sets. Maybe I'll do the laymen math later tonight.

Someones already tried it.. There is a thread somewhere about it.. But I think it was a little over a thousand before they added more trophies.. MobFam bought them I believe.. *Why doesnt this forum have an advanced search function??

I don't even want to know how much I've spent on the damn RC's - and I have all of the artifacts! But, just when I figured there could not be anyone more foolish with their money than me, I met Sepultura! He's in the top 20 most collections. Now at first I assumed he had all artifacts and I had all artifacts - probably the same, right? Then he points out that he has "specialty items" purchased with RC's. I checked out his glory page and holy crap, he's got 100's of them!

It was me. And I was talking about Sep. He had over 2000 in artifacts. And that was a while ago. Think there was at least one more group released after that thread. He does benefit from a favorable exchange rate though. When I started talking with him, we were both in the 70s on collections list.
Speaking of RCs, anyone see the stat change in Lord Joe in the past week? A week ago, I could get him with my 400att. Now he's at 900att and 900def.

Synthia pointed that one out to me. He must have gotten tired of her killing him so he shelled out the $$$. He's apparently running some sort of UL crew. I'm not sure of all the players involved.

Haha.. I was in the 'crew' for about a week.. They give each other bounties and such.. And transfer money around.. This is the reason Lord Joe was able to catch up to me and pass me soo fast.. I do not recall how many members there were. Atleast 8 were on daily..

Coming from the FPS world--and I'm talking the first internet clans around, back in 1996 when Quake first released and hooked me in--clans for these types of games are the most ridiculous things in the world. ESPECIALLY in the S8 games. If someone helps me w/ a bounty, I just call them a friend, lol.
The first clan I ever joined was Frag O' Maniacs (FoM) in 1996. The whole thing was totally new, Gamespy was still a year or so away from inception, I believe--maybe a few months away--and I was using an MS-DOS program that someone had scripted to search for servers to play on. Happened across a server based out of Denmark run by a small group of gamers from there that I pinged about 350ms w/ on my 28.8 from Massachusetts. Most of them were very fluent in English since it's a requirement there, and I just fell in with them, the lone American HPB. I had to go to a internet cafe that had a T1 line in order to play clan matches, which were usually set up as best as they could in order to make it possible for me to play b/c of the time difference. I wonder if anyone here has any idea what I'm talking about; that game was my life for 4 years and even after that I still played it occasionally.
Compare that to a "clan" on an S8 or AS game. You will never see 100 people gather in an office loft in downtown Manhattan (SoHo), drag their computers up six floors of the most ridiculous steps you'd ever see in your life, and sit in 90-100 degree heat over Memorial Day weekend to thrash each other for 72 straight hours. Despite the fact that I got absolutely pwned in the first round of the FFA tournament--which was a huge surprise since I won local tourneys in Boston regularly--and that I was one of the only people too young to drink the warm beer, it was amazing and I doubt I'll ever see anything like that again. The people who threw it grilled on the roof all weekend long, the gas station across the street sold cigarettes to me w/o carding me, and most of the time all the lights were turned off AND the fan was turned off so that the fuses wouldn't blow out from the strain of about 90-100 PCs running at the same time. That was the "m3" event in 1997, at the time the biggest LAN party on the east coast. Probably the highlight of my gaming life. And I really did get schooled in most of the matches.
That's pretty much why I think clans in these economy games are stupid.

I always enjoy your stories. Man, I miss Boston! Their Apple store was awesome! 3 stories of Mac goodness.

i was/am __LORD_buzZK1Lr of the LORD clan, we switched to [Tz] somewhere along the line. was the number one rated quake2 competition weapons mod player in the world for a span of about 3 months. my clan was a GS mod clan but had me join cuz i was hella leet and ran a killer server with my Cable internet which was not so common at that time. i lived in a crappy section of KC which was great for gaming cuz most of the neighbors didn't have cable internet so i was pretty much the only one on my chain for miles which gave me great GREAT bandwidth, lived really close to the routing hub and had some of the fastest internet in the world at the time. it also made me a very LPB (Low Ping Bitch!) and able to play on most any server in the world. ladder matches, clan chizzums, etc. i won the actual title of number one from gamespy rating combined with CLQ rating combined with the ladder matches from another .com. at the time GOAT clan dominated all comp weaps slots except the number 1 spot which i held. when i moved to the caribbean, FPS and bandwidth went out the window. Even with satellite internet i cant compete with the ping lag.
wake n bake n quake!!!... damn i miss FPS... there's a REAL game.. not these stupid assed clicky games sucking my brain and hooking me in....
i spent thousands on quake between my top-of-the-line fragbox (PC) with the best vid card, ram, modified, overclocked motherboard, internet connection cost, etc... i had a hole cut in the side of my house so i could suck cold air in winter and vent hot air in summer to my PC to keep it from running too hot ffs!!!
i still play q3 single player on nightmare mode just to keep sharp, and yes always know, no matter what game, no matter what time, no matter what what, i am and always will be BETTER THAN YOU!!!
thx for the nostalgia.
and that totally made me forget i was collecting on one stupid game or another... sheesh!
