Well atleast now I know who to go to during a zombie apocalypse...

If we are going to talk Doomsday scenarios will the zombies come before 2012 or be the result of it? Tongue

But seriously... that much firepower? O.o
Im never going to get any..
First things first. You can never have too much firepower. Especialy during a zombie attack.
According to the Holy Grail of "zombie apocalypse" (Night of the Living Dead), it will be caused by a failed government experiment.
And if you plan on comming here, you better know the secret knock.

Going back to the original post...1Shot, while you may have been the catalyst for certain players to become full-time bounty hunters, I don't think of your name first when I think of "game changing" players.

Here's my logic...you are to AS games like Eddie Van Halen is to guitarists.  Flashy, full of technical abilities yet inspiring to the masses.  In that vein, though, Tompat was the Jimi Hendrix...i.e. the original.  More directly stated - there would be no Eddie if Jimi never existed... Cool

There is my $.02....

^^ What about Stevie Ray? I'm not really into the Eddie connection.

Government experiment ONLY if you go by "Return of the Living Dead", in Romero's film it was posited to be a comet!

i will totally agree- Tompat was the original wolfpack leader and IMO one of the most inspiring players in the game. he did inspire me to guard my bountys so hard back in the day. (so was Rock Flag & Eagle from MoM too)
i wanted to do a "who is the top 10 undead players of all time- retired or not" and never seemed get around to it.
while most of my top 10 UL players seem to be gone- forum posting goes a long way IMO as far as helping the community, so i do agree TP is my #1 pick for all time greats- Ashyia gets in there too for being a voice of many players- even mobstersfamily (who i could never seemed to share an opinion with) makes my list for having such income back then

my list would probably contain many retired players- since the artifacts thing really ruined stuff IMO.

i'm still a low level legend.. more collections across all AS platforms than anyone.. i def make my top 10 list!

i kinda started this thread to argue that day anyway, i was feeling my wheaties and figured i could count on j.blaze to tell me i sucked!

you might even make my list FB, never know Wink

(and eddie, much like me is a virtuoso)
thats my $ three . fiddy..

Let's not forget Lukeshep...completely untouchable when I started the game.  Back in the day it was MobsterFamily who was scrambling to catch up to Lukeshep's income.  I have mentioned this before, but I still remember the time I was able to spam Lukeshep for wins...to me it marked the end of what the game used to be.

And, personally, I wouldn't put my name among the top players.  I'm an artifact whore who sold out to the AS sh*tty business model due to frustration...

Lukeshep- def top 10. ppl used to rag about him buying stat recharges but he was the original leveling/money machine. he did it on DragonMasters and Engines of War too. i don't remember him playing GsR or not.. i think he finally gave up on AS entirely by then..

I get tired of telling you that you suck over and over and over and over. You should probably just write "J-Blaze says I suck, and I shall always bow down to him" on your mirror. This way you can start the day off on a good note.

Oh and you can also post that screenie you have of me slaying you back in the day. Blaze #1 in everyones hearts.

I have to second Lukeshep.. Tho I only got to really interact with him on the newer games since he was always way higher leveled than me in Undead..

Who else were the good leading players from back then?

I'm not sure how far back you are going? Just Undead days or even pre undead days? There was a guy named JDizzle (RIP) who too the game by storm until he got into a car accident. He is no longer. Like you said LukeShep, and Mobster. Also CrazyWu and ColaCat. Those were all the big names preUndead. I miss those days. The amount of drama was rediculous and funny. There were always people on the GetSatisfaction forum running there mouths about something or other. Let's not forget MuddPieMojo. Most of these player I still talk to from time to time. Minus ColaCat and the obvious, JDizzle. Anyway if you are talking UnDead only then only a few of those players really are included.... Mobster, Luke, CrazyWu.

What exactly was Krusty the Clown's deal back in the day?  I feel like he was the first big player booted by AS.

no screenie- no proof- and no confessions here!! it wasn't a slay though, was a MafiaLive (oldschool) collection still under the "magic bullet" system, and was my 10th or 11th death.. maybe 9th..

and i gotta "Time Magazine - Man of the Year" mirror like in The Big Lebowski- it has "J.Blaze's Hero" written in lipstick on the bottom.. i think your gf did that when she was here last weekend.. tell her hi for me!

What exactly was Krusty the Clown's deal back in the day?  I feel like he was the first big player booted by AS.

theres a fine line between famous and infamous- and you have to admit that everyone knew that name. i was bummed when i first learned of him cuz i thought that was a great nic (big simpsons fan) and he ruined it. but i think he was the original first botter. from what i gathered, he quit and was never reprimanded for ADMITTING to botting.

LoL, I don't believe his big thing was botting. He was on the list for most wins and was happy to tell people how he was doing it. He made multiple accounts and was spamming himself with wins. So much so it was to the point he was continuously buying LP's/RC's to Refresh his strength/stamina and did it over and over. I believe he eventually turned to the botting scene but that's not what got people to start hating him. About his Simpsons names, he had more than just Krusty The Klown. He had a bart simpson, homer simpson, marge simpson, and lisa simpson account. He was stacked with accounts.

i was so newbie then i couldn't afford limosines in mafia and was wondering how i could save for 12 hours for 1 limo and that it would take me 2 months to camp and save for a full set of them. then i discovered that if you actually won a fight, you could get big money! **reset**
i really loved reading the oldschool vets ragging on each other and krusty was def a huge topic. he used a quote from a serial killer for his slogan
"You will find that I have consistently followed one idea through all my life, I preyed upon the weak, the harmless and the unsuspecting. This lesson I was taught by others : Might makes right."
i shouldn't even speculate about people botting or boosting or just playing the stupid game 24/7 and catching a lot of haterade. i've been accused of botting; collection bot, health bot.. even a bank bot once..
there was a time when i would hit krustys main, all attack account and get killer exp points tho..

He also bought accounts... It was because of all the hate going around that AS decided to make buying accounts a Dark Lord offense..  Supposedly, in order to keep him from leaving since he was a big spender, they decided you could keep the account if you had bought it BEFORE the rule was made..  Then even after that update he was accused by posters of buying even more accounts..

Thats what i remember best from that occasion..

I remember seeing his accounts at the top of the famed empire lists and always wondered what happened to them.  I was pretty new back then and didn"t really pay attention too much to that stuff.  I never thought I would be playing long enough to be on any of them.
