I think it's good. I am a member of another forum that lets you browse to check it out but has an annoying floating banner stating that you aren't registered. I think if you do something it may encourage people to join instead of just trolling.

I agree. Until MAtt can enable some account registration functionality we need a short term plan.

Let's create a forum just for spam and Newbie lock everything but that spam forum. We ban anyone who posts in it and never have to worry about deleting topics.

Also, we can browse the spam at our leisure.

yup yup and there's the kind that let you browse, lurk and read to your heart's content but can't post until you're registered.
or maybe, to help with the need for money-making ads on here, do the thing where new people (i gotta quit calling all the newbies newbs, i think it disheartens them) can read, but not post until registered and fill the screen with huge banners and ads to generate the extra income clicks.
