All the friends I met as I raised my baby Vampire to become one of the highest leveled creatures in the entire underworld. My rise was fast, I visited this forum EVERY day, posted like mad, hoping to soon be the highest Vampire in the game. Then all of the sudden, I was banned. I was furious, but I still continued to hang around the forums to watch on going war of Vampires vs. Werewolf's vs. Overlords. I decided to start over again, but this time as a cold blooded killer under a new identity.

Then one sad day, it all changed. The "Dark Lord" decided it was time for a change, because wealth was getting to out of hand. He placed a blockage on the amount of money we could acquire from plundering each other.

My fellow wolfs, overlords, vampires and I went on a "strike." we had countless attempts to make the Dark Lord re-think his option, but each one failed miserably. My sleepless nights soon turned into long 8 hour nights, allowing me to get over my sleep disorder.

Then the second worst day of Undead Live happened. The Dark Lord decided to release Artifacts. None of us really thought it would turn into a problem at this time, considering there was only 5 collections we could unlock, and it only cost 10 RC's. Some of us even bought into it at the beginning (1shot 1kill and some other)

Then, Aftershock realized that this was the smartest thing they have ever done business wise, and released MORE and MORE and MORE, and released MORE and MORE and MORE games with ton of trophies. They "forgot" about the real players, the real games, they "forgot" to make more updates rather than just more $$$ and Artifacts.

Up to this date, we have not had a beneficial update in 6 months+ We have 6 EXACT copies of game, 3 random games that nobody plays, and NOW we have a face book game...

What happened to the fun? What happened to the fighting? What happened to our all nighters? What happened to THE GREATEST iPhone game in the entire world?

We all watched it crumble. Each and every one of us sat on the side line, watching it all blow up in flames. Slowly, we stopped playing, I reset my game, TONS of others reset theirs also. Some players bought into the Artifact system, fueling Aftershock, allowing them to stay in business.

We all have tried multiple times to leave the games for good, but something remains in the back of my mind that MAYBE one day they will decide to restore the old game, and when they do I want to be ready.

I quit most of the games, and only play about 2 now. Most of my friends around here are doing the same thing. We have all given up, we all know the "Dark Lord" will never change his mind, leaving us with the WORST GAME in all of iPhone history.

They destroyed everything, our fun, our original forums, our games, our everything! Right in front of our eyes...

Well said.....It saddens me as well.  I was soooo hooked on this game when it came out and my competitive nature kept fueling my fire to be the best.  I learned from my predecessors and tried to build my character in a way as to make my players one of the greats.  I was on my way until the artifact releases.  I too bought into it at the first run.  I spent a couple of $$ after the first set was released.  I found out at that time that they released more and I didn't unlock anything.  I was furious.  That was the turning point for me.  I was not willing to spend the coin needed to make my character great again and hence became irrelevant.  The only reason that I didn't have 10k losses was that I played non-stop and tried to keep my player under 20 health (and the upper leveled gave me a reprieve at night as I quit playing so much at night unless on Slayer's).

There were so many smart ppl playing this game and all of them offered AS a way to make the game better.  They continually ignored us and constantly made the game even more unplayable with every update.  The only thing that holds players now is their competiveness and the $$ that they spent.  I have enjoyed meeting all of you guys and gals (even though it was in some kind of fantasy world); but you all are great.  I think in the real world we could all could have been friends even though we all live far apart. I just want to say thanks for the entertainment for the last year.  Now that I have quit, I find myself being a lot less lazy.  I am actually doing things that I have put off for a long time.  That is a positive.....Cheers peoples.....and I am still hanging around to see what happens with Psycho.

the games are dying.
ive been helping a friend who reset all AS game accounts and their isn't enough of a population left to get over 500 members in GsR, EoW or OoM, and we'll see if it gets over 750 in UL and MoM.
just for the record; i've NEVER bought an artifact/trophy on Undead or MafiaLive, Gunshock or Origins. my accts are an example of free only merchandise, the few avatar weapons are from free points. when i first started playing i would spend 20$ every couple months to keep my guardians and capos.(Undead and MafiaLive only were out then) i have trophies on EoW, 20$ investment on day one and the rest are free drops and not one set of anything.
the games are dying people, the free points have dried up, the raids especially are harsh, its hard to find a 2 point fights below level 50.
i'll never reset my accts nor give them away, but to quote TOOL/APC- Someday i will walk away and say "you f#@king disappoint me, maybe you're better off this way..."
AS is either incredibly naive or maybe brilliant. they got some money and i guess it's time for them to bail. They HAD the best game platform on iphone mmorpgs and chose to piss it away. maybe they've already made enough to retire in Mexico or maybe they have developed major crack problems. either way; they HAD a great platform, now it's just neglected and totally abused. i STILL have all my family on storm8 games and all my accumulated money from leaving my accounts sit for 6 months at a time.

I have to agree. The game has gone down hill ever since D-Day when the whole fight system changed and the massive update they did to the game where it started the game going down hill. I'm not going to lie i bought in to the stupid artifacts because i got tired of the people who spent the money always beating me constantly. If i could i def. would change that fact. But whats done is done. I can hardly get anyone to join my coven anymore and can't get to the point where i can't get the 20 more people i need to be able to do the 1800 people needed quest. I only get attacked by the same people everyday. Hardly anyone else. I only stick around to play the game anymore just so i can atleast say i got to level 249. But even still i hardly get on anymore. Maybe twice a day to bank my money, take myself below 20 health and if my blood is charged up enough do those. Thats about it. I've decided to just move on to other stuff in the real world. I am currently preparing to start the p90x workout to lose some of the pounds ive put on drinking beer and gotten lazy. So i'll even be on that much less once i start this. But even when i decide to make the leave it was fun playing with everyone. Hopefully one day something will be done about that game even though i highly doubt that will ever happen.

I'm just worried of what they are going to do when they come to a realization that nobody is going to spend money anymore.

I'm afraid they are going to ditch the games, or sell them off to someone else, take as much cash as they can get and run away with it all...

its all good, and no clue who it was. when EoW first came out i got 20$ worth of VictoryStars free for being a beta-tester, then i invested 20 of my cash, that's my total artifact/trophy/box investment, and like i said, not one full set of anything.

Down to two games - UL and MoM still on the phone.  Thinking of dropping MoM next and UL shortly after.  I barely check the games except once (maybe twice) in a day.

It just hit me one day that I was spending too much time on a game that was unbalanced and the further I'd advanced the more I'd run across those that had bought the artifacts and had the major advantage over a player like myself that had not wasted any money on the game.  Before the Artifacts and changes I was thinking of dropping $20 since I was enjoying the game, but then the big changes happened and I decided to hold off.  Then the changed it again and I thought screw it.  Now, F' it is all I can say.  I bust my fingers trying to find Overlords to join my court and why?  Someone else can just pay (or hack) their way to the top.
