certain jobs drop items that are not available through the black market- ie: the "torch the metropolitan" job drops "dual uzi's" which aren't available on the black market (to a level 95 or 109) and although they have the exact same pic as the "dual wields" they are not the same gun.
the "scare a mafia don" job seems to have a dropped a "gatlin gun" which is unavailable on the black market. there's also some kind of piece of electric fence i claimed from a job but didn't notice which one it was.
i know tompat had done a comprehensive layout of the undead jobs and drops but seems he didnt mention all the details on the mafia equivalent of that sheet. since i own his mafia acct i doubt that he's gunna step up and have this info..
does anyone have info on which jobs with "chance to loot" actually drop items that are unavailable to the black market?

i have my level 109 psychopath with 220 energy to help in finding this out but kinda need some help from higher levels so i know which items are specialty and which are merely higher level weapon drops.

after many research hours and after sorting through the many responses here (*insert crickets chirping*) i think i've happened across some answers; the jobs that consume the 3 rare items from the level 1-9 jobs also drop rare items.
ie: the level 1-9 job of "trash a car" drops a  rare, un-buyable molotov cocktail. the level 25+ job of "torch the metropolitan" consumes molotov cocktails and drops "dual uzi's."
the level 1-9 job of "rig a horserace" drops the rare horsehead. the level 25+ job of "scare a mafia don" consumes horseheads and drops that electric fense looking thing. (unsure on this one, still trying to make it drop again)
the level 1-9 job of "vandalize a mansion" drops the rare "diamond encrusted watch." the level 25+ job of "counterfeit diamond watches" consumes your diamond watches (which i now suspect are counterfeit) and drops the gatlin gun.

so as for the topic here and what i detectived up; the same logic-ish goes for undead with the 3 quests in low levels that drop rare items- crystals, scales,and eggs. in turn, the quests that consume these rare items also  drop rare stuff- the amulet, the stick of wonder and a dark halbred..

now.... do any other AS games do this? i haven't been vigilant or questy in the other games to see if this phenomena is repeated in GsR, EoW or Origins...

I'm pretty sure it's not in EoW - haven't played GSR enough to know and don't have OoM.  In EoW you just get equipment.

ya ive played eow and gsr thru the low level jobs and didnt notice any special drops nor notice any upper level jobs that consume items.
bummer- is kind of a cool thing to drop a rare and consume it on another job to drop another rare.. almost too good an idea for AS to have come up with... o ya! storm8 jobs do that! of course... StormAS.

^^ They don't have special drops, EoW + GSR.  Nothin' special about them at all.  Payout is pretty nice on some of those GSR jobs later on though.
